Leading lighting and electronic control system manufacturer BMAC, has recently introduced a range of new products to its road solution; the LED Cat 6 Indicator, the 2.4Ghz Wireless Bell Push and its new complete Bus Lighting Solution, the 54XX rear light series.
The LED Cat 6 Indicator has been re-engineered to feature the very latest technology in a familiar and recognised form factor. The CAT 6 Indicator has an attractive appearance and improved heat sinking. This new product is also offered at a very attractive price point.
Another addition to BMAC’s range of road technology solutions is the 2.4Ghz Wireless Bell Push. After considerable investment and development BMAC is pleased to introduce a new Wireless Bell Push system featuring the latest technology operating within a Globally accepted wireless transmission frequency. This new innovative system will allow bus OEMs to standardise on a single product for installation on vehicles destined for operation anywhere in the world.
The wireless bell push unit which can be mounted on the internal surface of a seat has a compact design and a ‘universal’ fit for various seatbacks.
When the Bell Push is pressed, this triggers the energy conversion device which generates a short pulse of electrical energy. This is sufficient for the radio transmitter to transmit a short telegram of information to the receiver. On installation in the vehicle, each Bell Push is assigned to a specific channel on the receiver. When the receiver detects a Bell Push has been pressed, it outputs a signal to the vehicle’s electrical system giving details of the operation of an actuator and the location on the vehicle. Each channel can be allocated to a specific zone on the vehicle, allowing the vehicle to be partitioned into separate areas.
Typically, this would be upper deck, lower deck and wheelchair request. The wireless and battery-less Bell Push uses radio transmission to communicate between a passenger Bell Push and the vehicle mounted receiver.
Industry leader BMAC has also launched the 54XX rear light series, its new complete bus lighting solution, further pushing the boundaries in vehicle lighting technology.
The new range of rear lights, the 54XX Series, offers ‘light guide technology’ through emerging lighting innovation that uses continuously illuminated LED pipes to create lighting solutions that allow greater design flexibility and functionality than traditional LEDs. The lights from the 54 Series create a homogenous light display, far more aesthetically pleasing than the current ‘point of light’ LED market competitors.
At the cutting edge of automotive LED lighting, the LED light technology can be used for tail, stop and indicator applications as well as reverse and fog applications. Working alongside major vehicle builders and operators enables BMAC to provide design, manufacture and supply services for customers with specific contract requirements. As well as exterior lighting, BMAC also designs and produces switch assemblies, control panels, audible warning devices and other electro-mechanical components.
Managing Director Mark Rutherford comments: “Our success comes from innovation. We have managed to give the customer exactly what they want, at a competitive price. They are looking for innovation and the life time cost of components.”
It is BMAC’s continual drive to deliver increased lighting efficiency and performance, tailored to the specific requirements of individual manufacturers, that has maintained their position at the head of the lighting and electronic control systems market.
